Privacy and transparency

Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Motorista Positivo processes information necessary to provide financial tracking, goals, history, account features, and subscriptions to drivers.

Last updated: September 24, 2026.

1. Who we are

Motorista Positivo is an app designed to help drivers manage and organize their finances. It allows users to record earnings, expenses, mileage, goals, vehicle information, maintenance, challenges, achievements, and other information related to their professional activity.

For purposes of this Policy, “Motorista Positivo,” “application,” “app,” “we,” or “our” refer to the Motorista Positivo service.

2. Data we may process

2.1 Registration and account data

To create and maintain an account, we may process information provided by the user, such as:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • date of birth;
  • phone number;
  • Firebase Authentication account identifier;
  • basic information provided by Google when the user chooses to sign in with a Google Account, according to the permissions shown during sign-in.

2.2 Financial and professional data entered by the user

Motorista Positivo allows users to record information to track their activity, including, depending on the features used:

  • income, earnings, and transactions;
  • expenses and spending categories;
  • reported distance;
  • reported working hours or periods;
  • goals, budgets, objectives, and notes;
  • vehicle data and maintenance reminders;
  • history, challenges, achievements, and app-use preferences.
Important: Motorista Positivo organizes and calculates information based on data provided by the user. The app is not a financial institution, bank, digital wallet, brokerage, or accounting service.

2.3 Subscription data

When a subscription is purchased through Google Play, we may receive and retain information necessary to validate and manage access, such as the product identifier, purchase token, subscription status, expiration date, and renewal status.

Motorista Positivo does not store full card details or full payment-method details. Purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google's terms and policies.

2.4 Technical data

Services used for authentication, hosting, security, usage analytics, and operation may process technical data necessary to provide and improve the service, such as access logs, technical identifiers, app version, sessions, engagement time, screens viewed, and feature-use events. Motorista Positivo uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used. Analytics events configured by Motorista Positivo do not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text transaction descriptions, financial amounts, location coordinates, or content recognized by the voice feature.

3. How we use data

Data processed by Motorista Positivo may be used to:

  • create, authenticate, and protect the user's account;
  • save and synchronize app data across sessions and compatible devices;
  • calculate balances, results, costs, profit, averages, goals, and indicators displayed in the app;
  • display history, reports, challenges, achievements, and financial organization features;
  • preserve the integrity of the trial period and prevent improper repeated use of the trial benefit;
  • validate, activate, synchronize, and manage subscriptions purchased through Google Play;
  • measure sessions, engagement, screens, and feature use to understand and improve the app;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities, when applicable;
  • provide support and respond to user requests.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell users' personal data. Information may be processed by technology providers necessary for Motorista Positivo to operate.

Google Firebase

We use Google Firebase services, including authentication, database, backend infrastructure, and Google Analytics for Firebase. These services may process data necessary for account creation, synchronization, storage, security, app functions, and usage measurement, such as sessions, engagement, screens, and feature interaction events.

Google Sign-In

When a user chooses “Sign in with Google,” authentication uses Google services. Motorista Positivo receives only the data and tokens necessary to sign in and associate the account with the app.

Google Play

Android subscriptions and payments are processed by Google Play. Motorista Positivo receives purchase confirmation and status information necessary to grant or remove access to paid features.

We may also share information when required by law, a valid order from a competent authority, or when necessary to protect the rights, security, and integrity of the service and its users.

5. Storage and security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information. Measures include user authentication, database access rules, and backend validations.

No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their credentials, keep their devices secure, and not share passwords or access codes.

Some providers used by the app may operate infrastructure in other countries. In these cases, processing may involve international data transfers under the mechanisms and safeguards applicable to those services.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain data while the account remains active and for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or protect the app's operation.

Users may request or perform deletion of their account through features available in the app. Account deletion removes data linked to the profile, except information that must be retained for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or other legitimate needs where applicable.

Trial: minimal records intended to prevent repeated and improper granting of the free period may be securely retained after account deletion when necessary to prevent abuse of the benefit.

7. Your rights

Under applicable law, including Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), data subjects may, where applicable, request information about processing and exercise rights such as confirmation of processing, access, correction, deletion, portability, information about sharing, and review or objection in the circumstances provided by law.

Some requests may require identity verification to protect the account against fraudulent requests.

8. Children and teenagers

Motorista Positivo is intended for people who work as or manage driver activity and is not directed to children. The service was not designed for the purpose of knowingly collecting children's personal data.

9. Location and GPS

Motorista Positivo optionally offers a GPS trip tracking mode. When the user chooses this mode and starts a trip, the app requests access to the device's precise location to calculate distance traveled.

During a GPS trip, location may continue to be used while the user switches to other apps or leaves Motorista Positivo in the background. Android therefore maintains a foreground location service, identified by a persistent notification while tracking is active.

Coordinates used for tracking are processed locally on the device to calculate distance. This feature does not send the route or GPS coordinates to the user's account or to Motorista Positivo's server. When the trip ends, tracking stops and the app retains only data necessary for the trip record, such as total distance and duration.

Users may choose manual odometer mode without GPS. Location accuracy may vary in tunnels, garages, covered areas, or places with weak signal.

10. Microphone and voice entry

The Voice entry feature is optional and uses the microphone only after the user taps the corresponding button. Its purpose is to recognize speech and fill in fields for an income or expense entry, which remains subject to user review and confirmation before being recorded.

Motorista Positivo does not keep the microphone active in the background and does not store audio recordings. Depending on the device and Android configuration, speech recognition may be processed by the speech-recognition service available on the device. In that case, processing by that provider is subject to the provider's policies.

11. Copilot and display over other apps

Copilot is optional. When enabled by the user, it uses Android's permission to display over other apps and keep a small reference of the ideal earnings per distance visible while the driver works.

Copilot does not use this permission to read content from other apps, accept rides, tap buttons, or control third-party apps. Users may disable the overlay at any time through the feature itself or Android settings.

12. Notifications

The app may request Android permission to display notifications related to its operation and features selected by the user. During a GPS trip, a persistent notification makes it clear that location tracking is active while the foreground service is running.

Users can manage notification permissions in Android settings. Refusing notifications does not authorize the app to use data for purposes other than those described in this Policy.

13. Biometrics

When available and enabled by the user, biometrics may be used to facilitate local authentication in the app. Biometric validation is performed by Android and the device's security mechanisms. Motorista Positivo does not receive or store the user's fingerprint, facial image, or biometric template.

14. Reports, PDF, CSV, and sharing

Users can generate reports, PDF or CSV files, and share summaries based on data recorded in the app. Generation and sharing occur only through user action.

When the user chooses to share a file or summary, Android displays the apps and services available on the device. Once a destination is selected, processing of the shared content is also subject to the privacy practices of the app or service chosen by the user.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the app, services used, or legal requirements. When there is a material change, the new version will be published on this page with its updated date.
